About Esther
Esther Danmeri

Welcome! I’m Esther Danmeri, a singer, workshop leader, and mindfulness practitioner based in Somerset. My passion lies in helping women reconnect with their authentic voices through a mindful approach to singing. With over two decades of experience in music and voice work, I’ve come to believe that singing is more than just producing sound—it’s a powerful way to connect with the present moment, ourselves, and each other.

My Background

I’ve had the privilege of performing and teaching in various cultural contexts, including three years living and performing in Java, Indonesia, which deeply influenced my understanding of the connection between voice, culture, and presence. My journey in music began early, leading me through classical training, composition and world music traditions. Over the years, I’ve embraced not only technical skill but also the deeper emotional and mindful aspects of singing.

I’m also a dedicated mindfulness practitioner, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. Mindfulness has become an integral part of my personal and professional life, helping me to stay grounded, present, and in touch with the joy of creation.

My Approach

In my workshops, I combine vocal techniques with mindfulness practices to create a supportive and open space for women to explore their voices without judgment. I believe that the voice is not just an instrument but a reflection of who we are in each moment. By focusing on the present moment and letting go of the need for perfection, we can unlock the natural beauty and power of our voices.

My approach is playful, mindful, and inclusive. Whether we are engaging in breathwork, vocal warm-ups, or group chanting, the emphasis is on presence—feeling the vibration of the voice in the body, listening deeply to the sound we are making, and embracing the richness of the moment. Skill is important, but it’s the connection to the voice and the present moment that brings true vocal confidence and expression.

My Passion for Music

Music has been a constant in my life, providing me with a way to express myself and connect with others in a profound way. For me, music is not separate from the practice of mindful awareness—they are intertwined, each feeding the other. When I sing, I feel grounded, creative, and connected to something bigger than myself.

I am passionate about sharing the joy and healing potential of music with women from all walks of life. Whether you are new to singing or have been singing for years, my workshops are designed to help you explore your voice, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of mindful presence through sound.

Thank you for being here, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
